Gopa Bose claims a large following which is borne by the member of programmes she is invited to do for various organistaions.

A good classical background has enabled her to branch out in other vocal directions. It can be said that Gopa's desire to expand her repertoire has been always to her benefit. For instance, her singing of Tagore songs would find the approval of classicists.

One would marvel at her versatility in her singing in various Indian languages. Gopa won many admirers in Calcutta when under the auspices of Gramophone Company of India (EMI) she presented a programme, where she sang songs in Punjabi, Gujarati, Hindi, Bengali and Gazals. Earlier she also held a similar programme in Delhi,where EMI presented her with a gold disc.

Gopa was the first Asian Artiste to be broadcast in stereo on BBC Radio Leicester. She has recorded her EMI (India) in Bengali and Punjabi folk songs. A number of her cassette recording on modern and folk and Gazalas have been released. She has also recorded “Songs of the Sub-Continent” nursery rhymes in various Indian languages, as part of the Educational Programme of the London Borough of Hounslow.
